Today we celebrate the birthday of a beloved children's author, a pioneer in early literacy, Dr. Seuss. Although this talented man is no longer with us his books and their powerful lessons are still warming the hearts of children and adults alike. In honor of Read Across America day, and the birthday of Dr. Seuss, I am dedicating this post to the wonderful life lessons that graced the pages of his books...
1. Always be yourself!
2. Only you have control over your life and the direction it goes in.
3. You have the power to change the word, and make it a better place.
4. Life is a great Balancing Act.
5. Every life matters.
6. Read, Read, READ!!!
